In June 2009, after 38 years of private practice, Paul M. Bernstein moved his office from downtown Pittsburgh to Aspinwall.  In addition to his work as a Pennsylvania Certified School Psychologist, a Licensed Psychologist and a Licensed Professional Counselor, he is a tenured professor in the graduate Department of Counseling and Psychology at a leading Pittsburgh university.

His associate, Dr. Leslie Slagel is a Pennsylvania Licensed Professional Counselor who holds a Ph.D. in counseling from Duquesne University. In addition to her work as a counselor, Leslie is an administrator/therapist at a shelter for battered women. Leslie specializes in treating women, couples and families. A scholar and excellent clinician, Leslie is warm, smart and caring. Dr. Bernstein is proud to have her as a colleague.
