Dr. Slagel is a Pennsylvania Licensed Counselor who received her Ph.D. from Duquesne University.  She is certified as a therapist by the Gestalt Institute of Pittsburgh and is in training to be credentialed as a Parent and Child Interaction Therapist by the universities of Pittsburgh and Oklahoma. For the past ten years Dr. Slagel has been an administrator/ supervisor/ therapist in the field of domestic violence providing crisis intervention and trauma counseling. At Carlow University she is an adjunct professor of psychology and counseling. An excellent scholar and therapist Dr. Slagel has several publications and has presented at  national and international professional conferences.
